Job Description

Power Connector’s Quality Engineer is critical in contributing to the fundamental changes that are transforming Power Connector. This position is instrumental in enhancing and strengthening our internal Quality Management System by developing and optimizing our internal and external quality processes, procedures, and documentation. The primary focus is to assist, contribute, and execute on the team’s strategic plans for Quality Management System stability and improvement.

This role is dynamic, adaptable, and open‑minded, requiring strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills. The Quality Engineer supports and improves quality systems and manufacturing processes in a growing, dynamic organization, contributing to the quality system's expansion into current and new industries. The position has a strong influence on the fundamentals of the deployed quality management system and leads initiatives related to the enhancement of internal and external manufacturing and quality processes.

Education

Minimum education requirement:
Bachelor’s of Science in engineering or related field.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s of Science in engineering or related field
Experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or related field
Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards (AS9100 preferred)
  • Proficient in using inspection equipment, such as calipers and micrometers
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, acceptance test procedures, etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office
Skills
  • Good oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Job Responsibilities
  • Interface with quality personnel at customer and supplier levels
  • Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers, when applicable
  • Perform visual inspections of finished products and grade, classify, or sort products according to sizes, weights, colors, or other specifications when applicable
  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in accordance with AS9102 requirements
  • Conduct routine and non‑routine analyses of in‑process materials, raw materials, conditioning samples, finished goods, or stability samples
  • Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded
  • Discard or reject products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications
  • Mark items with details such as grade or acceptance‑rejection status
  • Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release
  • Maintain all Quality Control documentation
  • Assist in all Quality Control activities as directed
  • Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems
  • Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures, including data record forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms
