The Quality Checker is responsible for coordinating safety and quality functions and assisting the Supervisor. This may include auditing shipments, work areas, processes, or other areas or functions as assigned by management. Ensures the warehouse is in compliance with safety and quality policies and principles. The position performs work involving the implementation of identified safety and training programs and a variety of associated operations.
This position is expected to uphold and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety and work rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the Document Control Center, data, and records of the Quality System.
- Supporting, documenting, and following up on Internal Audits, QMS/QIS, and Corrective Actions raised from Internal Audits.
- Updating visual aids, process instructions, quality procedures, corrective and preventive actions, client documentations.
- Generating and updating control charts as well as Quality QOS Review and validation of all controlled documentation used and displayed throughout the plant against QIS.
- Participating in the Continuous Improvement Projects.
- Working closely with Supervisor to develop improvements to employee's performance as well as the service provided to all other departments.
- Performing plant tours to detect any activity not in compliance within the quality.
- Keeping under clean and organized conditions, the workstation and/or area.
- Being available to develop any new activity or project assigned.
- Ensuring Weekly Triggers files are sent to the Suppliers on a timely basis.
- Managing/following up of aged material process; notifying Customer for proper disposition.
- Managing the excess/slow moving inventory and seeking for disposition.
- Maintaining Vendor/Parts profile updates in the system.
- Continuously working on improving operations communication with Supplier and Customer.
- Preparing all paperwork and backup data for return shipments.
- Ensuring customer responses are made within customer service objectives.
- Being responsible for several reports and monitoring compliance.
- Coordinating cycle counts as required for Sync Report Analysis.
- Setting up and maintaining all vendor, contact, and part profile information.
- Actively participating in Customer/Internal Corrective Action and Improvement Plans.
- Supporting other areas as required.
Other duties include performing other duties as assigned.
Supervisory responsibilities include none.
Minimum required qualifications include:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to handle basic statistical control methods.
- Previous Inventory experience.
- Current or previous experience with Quality Management System.
Skills, knowledge, and abilities include:
- Excellent computer skills, not limited to MS Office, Windows, or Visio.
- English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Basic to intermediate level mathematical skills.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Ability to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.
- Current or previous experience with Quality Management system.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
- Previous experience working with Internal Audits, Document Control, and Corrective Action plans.
The work environment includes:
- Rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

The expected base pay rate is $23.00 hourly. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
