Step into Precision at Ever Fab
For 43+ years, Ever Fab, Inc. has been crafting precision components in the East Aurora area. Our ISO
9001:2015 & AS9100D certified facility is equipped with advanced machining and validation technology and staffed by a team of dedicated professionals. We’re growing our quality team with a CNC Dimensional Quality Inspector who thrives on accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You start your morning walking the shop floor, partnering with machinists to verify the first piece of a new setup. Blueprint in hand, you interpret GD&T callouts, confirm critical dimensions with micrometers and pin gauges, and capture results electronically. Midday, you complete a First Article Inspection with a vision system and comparator, catching a subtle surface deviation under the microscope before it becomes a non-conformance.
In the afternoon, you audit random work-in-process, document findings, and help a teammate trace a root cause on a multi-axis part so the job ships on time—right the first time.
- Inspect machined parts at both inspection and machining stations and clearly report findings.
- Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T to verify dimensions and relationships.
- Perform first-piece and First Article Inspections (FAI) and execute in-process and random audits on the floor.
- Use metrology tools: comparators, vision systems, micrometers, calipers, dial and pin gauges, precision gauge blocks.
- Check size, concentricity, squareness, parallelism, surface condition/finish, burrs, and grinding finish.
- Conduct detailed visual checks with a microscope.
- Record results in written or electronic formats and accurately document nonconformances.
- Collaborate with machine operators to prevent defects and ensure on-time delivery.
- Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures; take on additional tasks as directed.
- 2+ years of inspection experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Fluency with blueprints and GD&T; strong applied math and basic computer skills.
- Hands-on expertise with precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of CMM programming and PCDMIS is a plus.
- Bonus pluses: multi-axis machining exposure and root cause analysis experience.
- Qualities we value: meticulous attention to detail, respectful teamwork, positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and a strong work ethic.
CNC Machinists considering a shift into Quality are encouraged to apply—your process understanding is a powerful asset.
