Manual QA Tester​/ Project Manager

Overview

The QA Engineer will serve as a highly technical member of the team, partnering closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure the quality and reliability of both customer-facing and internal applications. On a daily basis, this individual will create and execute test plans, validate new features, and perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing across a Ruby on Rails (Rails
8) environment. They will be responsible for testing web platforms as well as integrated hardware solutions, including lobby kiosks, point-of-sale systems, payment terminals, and printers, ensuring seamless end-to-end functionality across the ecosystem. Additionally, this person will leverage their project management experience to help drive QA initiatives, coordinate testing efforts across teams, track defects to resolution, communicate project risks, and ensure releases remain on schedule while maintaining a high standard of quality.

• Create and execute test plans and test cases for web applications and integrated hardware solutions.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing in a Rails 8 environment.
• Test end-to-end workflows across customer-facing platforms and hardware components (lobby kiosks, POS systems, payment terminals, printers).
• Coordinate QA activities across teams, track defects to resolution, and communicate risks to stakeholders.
• Apply project management practices to drive QA initiatives and ensure on-time releases with high quality.

• 3+ years of experience with manual testing.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience working with Jira.
• Experience in a BA or Project Management role is a plus (Project Management Certifications).
