Validation Technician
We are seeking a dedicated Validation Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves building test fixtures, test boxes, and wire harnesses accurately for testing projects, and supporting the installation, validation, maintenance, and repair of test equipment. The ideal candidate will conduct electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests, document results, and participate in process documentation and optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Build test fixtures, test boxes, and wire harnesses accurately for testing projects.
- Utilize hand assembly and hand crimping tools proficiently.
- Effectively use soldering irons and read engineering specifications, drawings, and documentation.
- Support installation, validation, maintenance, and repair of test equipment and components.
- Execute small projects related to testing and test equipment with engineering team assistance.
- Review testing requirements and specifications prior to execution.
- Conduct electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests of electro-mechanical switch products.
- Document test results according to schedule and evaluate them based on predefined acceptance criteria.
- Learn and apply PEP process/testing & validation processes.
- Maintain lab appearance and equipment in a safe environment.
Essential
Skills:
- Experience with validation protocols and process validation in automotive.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using DMM, oscilloscope, and power supply.
- Associate/bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in test/equipment environment, preferably in automotive.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
- Ability to prepare complex written reports and visualize data.
- Soldering skills and ability to learn new soldering techniques.
- Experience reading basic electrical schematics.
Work Environment:
The role requires the ability to sit for extended periods, occasionally stand and walk, and regularly lift/move objects weighing up to 10 lbs. Close vision, color vision, and depth perception are needed for extended periods. Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
