We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in quality assurance who enjoys problem-solving, working cross-functionally, and helping drive continuous improvement. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Coordinator will play an important role in supporting and maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS). The ideal candidate will be organized, analytical, comfortable working independently and collaboratively, and committed to maintaining high quality standards.
WhatYou'll Do
As our Quality Coordinator, you will:
- Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Investigate customer quality issues and complaints and help identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate customer and supplier returns, rejections, and related documentation.
- Process supplier and customer returns and rejections within the company ERP system.
- Track and analyze customer complaints and their impact on the quality system.
- Prepare and submit product recall requests to customers, as needed.
- Create, track, and publish monthly and quarterly supplier quality performance reports.
- Work with suppliers to support quality improvement initiatives.
- Initiate and administer internal and supplier corrective action requests to identify root causes and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
- Support the administration of the Corrective Action System.
- Assist in ensuring customer quality and contractual requirements are met.
- Participate in internal audits and support ISO, AS, customer, and vendor audits.
- Prepare, review, and submit AS9102 First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) packages.
- Maintain quality spreadsheets, databases, and other documentation.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
- Manage projects and activities related to the quality system.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- An Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, including approximately 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
- Experience working with ISO 9001, AS9100, and/or AS9120 quality systems.
- Working knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
- The ability to read and interpret customer purchase orders, contractual requirements, engineering drawings, prints, and engineering changes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- The ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and support corrective action initiatives.
- Experience developing and documenting procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
- Experience with ERP systems; AS400 experience is a plus.
- Basic measurement and quality control skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines.
