Job description

Location:

Elmsford, NY - On-site

Reports To:

Director of Operations Compensation: $90,000 USD – $110,000 USD annually Who We Are At UE Systems, we believe that every person, regardless of their industry, company size, experience, and budget, should have the tools and support to help their facilities operate more efficiently, reliably, and safely. We do this by providing a portfolio of ultrasound solutions designed to be versatile and simple to use.

Since 1973, we’ve helped thousands of customers across the world prevent equipment failures, identify energy losses, and return home safe to their families, and we are just getting started. Join us as we continue to grow to support our mission in the relentless pursuit of customer excellence. About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to operate and continuously improve UE Systems' quality management system and establish consistent quality practices across our internal operations, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.

This role is ideal for someone who has worked within an ISO-based quality system and knows how to apply ISO 9001 fundamentals to deliver measurable results, such as fewer customer complaints, lower defect rates, and more consistent processes. UE Systems is not pursuing formal ISO certification or accreditation; the focus is on practical, disciplined quality management. As the Quality Manager, you will own the day-to-day quality system, including inspection and release controls, nonconformance and corrective action, customer-issue investigations, supplier quality follow-up, process checks, and training.

You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to ensure quality issues are contained, resolved, and prevented from recurring. Our People They Own Their Day:
We do not micro-manage. Our team understands that some days may be longer while some may be shorter and that maintaining the right work-life balance is crucial in a non-traditional workday. They Believe in a Team Approach:
They can’t be a master of everything. We have built a team based on the culture fit, which provided us with a diverse team of varying skill sets and experience. They rely on their team to support them and grow as an individual and as a team. They Always Look Through a Customer Lens:
Every decision we make is through the lens of our customers. We ask, “What is the best decision for our customer?” before any decision is made. We put our existing customers before revenue. Your Impact Establish and maintain practical quality controls based on ISO 9001 fundamentals, including document control, quality records, traceability, calibration, training, periodic process checks, and continuous improvement.

Create and own containment, NCR, root-cause, CAPA, and effectiveness verification for internal, supplier, and customer-reported quality issues; ensure actions are timely, documented, and sustained. Update and maintain controlled incoming, in-process, final-inspection, testing, and release procedures with Engineering so products are accepted or rejected against approved specifications and methods. Use customer complaints, defects, first-pass yield, supplier performance, and NCR/CAPA closure data to identify recurring problems and lead practical process improvements.

Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers on incoming-quality issues, nonconformances, SCARs, and corrective-action follow-up, and support manufacturing or vendor changes with clear quality requirements. Build a culture of quality by training teams, setting clear standards, making issues visible, and following through until corrective actions are complete and effective. Coordinate the day-to-day priorities of quality team members, provide hands-on coaching, and maintain clear escalation and documentation expectations.

Your Experience 5+ years of hands-on quality experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally involving electromechanical products, electronics, instrumentation, or industrial equipment. Demonstrated experience working within an ISO-based quality system and applying ISO 9001 fundamentals in a manufacturing environment.…
