Now Hiring for a Vial Inspector!

The Vial Inspector role focuses on performing detailed visual inspections of sterile and non-sterile products, including sterile empty vials, to ensure they meet strict quality and safety standards. This position plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity, supporting quality control processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough visual inspection of vials and labels to ensure they meet established quality standards.
  • Inspect approximately 400–500 units per shift, depending on the product type and inspection requirements.
  • Identify, document, and report any defects, inconsistencies, or irregularities found in vials or labels.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of inspections, findings, and any corrective actions taken.
  • Collaborate closely with the quality control team to address issues discovered during inspections.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable regulatory guidelines and internal company standards.
  • Follow established procedures for cleanliness, specimen handling, and documentation.
  • Perform repetitive inspection tasks with consistent focus, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Accept and apply feedback to continuously improve inspection accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and other departments to support smooth workflow and issue resolution.

Essential Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies in vials and labels.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining accuracy and focus throughout the shift.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to document findings and collaborate with the quality control team.
  • Willingness to learn and follow established inspection procedures and quality standards.
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a small team environment.
  • Ability to accept feedback and incorporate it into daily work practices.
  • Commitment to cleanliness and proper documentation in a regulated environment.
  • Experience or interest in quality inspection, pharmacy, specimen processing, or data entry is highly beneficial.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • No college degree required for this position.
  • Prior laboratory experience is highly desirable.
  • Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in a science-related field is an advantage.
  • Previous accessioning experience is beneficial.
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience is beneficial.
  • Prior quality assurance inspector experience is beneficial.
  • Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment with defined quality standards.
  • Easygoing, collaborative approach that supports a positive team culture.

Work Environment

This role is based in a modern vial inspection facility constructed in 2018, featuring an extremely clean and well-organized layout. The department operates with a large, open floor plan where each team member has their own dedicated desk. The team consists of approximately eight experienced colleagues, many of whom have been with the department for at least five years, fostering a stable and supportive work environment.

A prominent glass wall provides natural light and a clear view outside, creating a pleasant and comfortable setting for focused inspection work. The standard work schedule runs from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. In addition, employees receive an extra 30 minutes of break time per day, which they can divide into up to two additional breaks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $37440.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
