Advan Research is a New York–based location intelligence company with over a decade of experience delivering high-fidelity mobility and foot traffic data to institutional clients.

Our data is used by commercial real estate investors, retailers, owners, developers, brokers and advisors to evaluate locations, understand tenant performance, assess trade areas and monitor portfolio level trends. Advan’s products support decisions across site selection, underwriting, leasing strategy, asset management and market research.

As demand for data driven real estate decision making continues to grow, we are expanding our Commercial Real Estate sales team.

The Role

We are seeking a senior, consultative sales professional with deep Commercial Real Estate domain expertise to help grow Advan’s presence across the CRE ecosystem.

This role is ideal for someone who understands how real estate professionals think, evaluate risk, and make decisions—and can translate sophisticated location and transaction data into clear, actionable insights.

You will own the full sales cycle, working closely with CRE decision-makers from initial discovery through product demonstrations, deal structuring, and close.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and grow relationships with Commercial Real Estate clients, including investors, owners, developers, brokers, and advisory firms
  • Prospect and develop new CRE accounts across asset classes such as retail, mixed‑use, office, multifamily, and CMBS‑related portfolios
  • Lead discovery conversations focused on real‑world CRE use cases such as site selection, tenant performance analysis, trade area evaluation, and portfolio monitoring
  • Deliver tailored product demos that connect Advan’s foot traffic, trade area, demographic, and transaction datasets to client workflows
  • Manage the full deal lifecycle: qualification, proposals, pricing, procurement, and close
  • Collaborate with internal product and research teams to bring client feedback into ongoing product development
  • Stay informed on commercial real estate market trends and evolving data‑driven methodologies
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in Commercial Real Estate–focused sales, advisory, or solutions roles
  • Strong understanding of CRE workflows (investment analysis, leasing, asset management, brokerage, research or CMBS)
  • Experience selling data, analytics, SaaS, or research solutions to real estate professionals
  • Proven ability to run consultative, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging senior CRE decision-makers
  • Highly organized, self‑directed, and comfortable operating in a lean, high‑impact environment
Nice to Have
  • Experience with location intelligence, foot traffic analytics, GIS, or alternative data
  • Existing network within the CRE investment, brokerage, or advisory community
  • Background working with institutional real estate clients
  • Total compensation: $100,000 – $250,000+ (base salary plus uncapped commission), based on experience and performance
