Asset Management Analyst

Ascendo Resources is currently seeking an Asset Management Analyst for a full-time, on-site role located in Manhattan.

Our client is a rapidly growing NYC-based real estate investment and property management firm. We are seeking a highly analytical Asset Management Analyst to support a large-scale residential portfolio.

This is a high-visibility role working directly with senior leadership, bridging site-level operations and ownership strategy.

• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes
• Perform deep-dive variance analysis to identify operational inefficiencies
• Prepare executive "Health Reports" highlighting cash flow trends, KPIs, and distribution readiness
• Partner with Accounting to audit income statements, accruals, and reclasses

• Audit Yardi resident billing (Rent Rolls, GPR, HAP subsidies) for discrepancies
• Lead monthly arrears meetings and implement collection strategies
• Track Cap Ex projects, renovations, and contract expirations
• Analyze retail lease proposals including TI and leasing commissions
• Support property onboarding and portfolio integrations
• Review leases, loan documents, and partnership agreements
• Contribute to long-term asset strategy and value preservation initiatives

• 2+ years of Real Estate Asset Management or high-level Property Management experience
• Strong commercial lease analysis experience preferred
• Yardi Voyager proficiency (required)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or Business
• LIHTC compliance exposure is a strong plus
