About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of approximately 8 residential properties totaling up to 1,500 units in Manhattan.
The portfolio includes a mix of luxury, fair-market, and rent-stabilized properties
. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for property operations, building staff, vendors, resident relations, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee daily operations across a portfolio of approximately 1,500 residential units.
- Conduct regular property inspections and ensure buildings are maintained to established standards.
- Lead and manage building staff, including performance management and disciplinary matters.
- Manage vendors, contractors, service contracts, and building maintenance.
- Oversee resident relations, complaints, move-ins, move-outs, and escalated issues.
- Monitor invoices, expenses, purchase orders, work orders, and property-level financial performance.
- Assist with annual budgets and review monthly financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with NYC and NYS residential housing regulations, including requirements applicable to rent-stabilized properties.
- Maintain accurate property records, insurance documentation, and operational procedures.
- Partner with internal teams and outside professionals on compliance, capital projects, and special initiatives.
- Utilize property management systems, including Yardi

Rent Cafe and Salesforce experience is a plus.
- 5+ years of NYC residential multifamily property management experience.
- Proven experience managing multiple properties and large residential portfolios
; 1,000+ units strongly preferred. - Experience with luxury, fair-market, and/or rent-stabilized housing.
- Strong knowledge of NYC multifamily operations and regulatory compliance.
- Experience managing building staff and vendors.
- 32BJ/union building experience strongly preferred.
- Strong financial, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience handling employee performance and disciplinary matters.
- Yardi or similar property management/accounting software experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
