Vice President of Asset Management

Location: Brooklyn, NY (hybrid). Approximately 25% travel to properties across the U.S (candidate must live in the New York City area)

Rose Valley Capital is a vertically integrated real estate investment and management platform that acquires, repositions, and operates conventional multifamily rental properties across the United States. Our portfolio spans approximately 13,000 residential units across 12 states. Our team combines disciplined underwriting and capital markets expertise with hands-on asset and property management, giving us direct control over performance at every property in our portfolio.

Rose Valley Capital is looking for a Vice President of Asset Management to lead the financial and strategic performance of our nationwide portfolio of conventional multifamily rental assets. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will set the business plan for each asset, hold property management and operations teams accountable to it, and work with ownership, capital markets, and lenders to maximize NOI and long-term value.

You will lead a small, high-performing asset management team and have the opportunity to grow it as the portfolio expands. This is a senior leadership role with real influence over acquisitions, dispositions, capital planning, and portfolio strategy.

• Develop and execute asset-level business plans, including hold/sell analysis, repositioning, and value-add strategies
• Own annual budgets, reforecasts, and long-range projections, and drive NOI and cash flow to target
• Monitor KPIs (occupancy, rent growth, delinquency, turnover, expense ratios) and act on variances across markets

• Partner with regional and property managers to align on leasing strategy, pricing, and expense control
• Review monthly operating and variance reports and lead quarterly asset reviews
• Oversee third-party vendors and service contracts for cost and quality

• Underwrite and manage capital projects, renovations, and unit upgrades, tracking scope, budget, timeline, and returns
• Coordinate with Capital Markets on refinancings, debt compliance, and lender reporting
• Support acquisitions and dispositions through due diligence, underwriting, and transition

• Prepare investor, ownership, and lender reporting, including performance summaries and market analysis
• Ensure compliance with loan covenants and partnership agreements

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two Asset Managers, setting priorities, reviewing their underwriting and reporting, and building their capacity to take on more of the portfolio
• Present portfolio performance, risks, and recommendations directly to the CEO and ownership
• Serve as a key voice in acquisition, disposition, and capital allocation decisions
• Build strong working relationships with property management, accounting, HR, and construction teams

• 10+ years of real estate asset management experience, with at least 5 in a senior or supervisory role
• Multifamily property sector experience is required; commercial property experience preferred.
• Conventional multifamily experience required; experience across multiple U.S. markets strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field (MBA or CFA a plus)
• Advanced financial modeling and underwriting skills (Excel/ARGUS); comfort with property management platforms such as Yardi or Real Page
• Working knowledge of debt structures, loan covenants, and partnership/JV reporting
• Ability to evaluate market dynamics, rent trends, and expense drivers across different regions
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence across operations, finance, and ownership
• Ability to travel to properties nationwide approximately 25% of the time
