Description

A&E Real Estate was founded in 2011 to invest in multifamily properties in the New York City Metropolitan area with a focus on workforce housing. A&E acquires, operates, improves, and manages the properties and currently owns approximately 12,000 apartments in New York City.

• Facilitate all aspects of the lease renewal process, including generating and reviewing Lease Expiration Reports, preparing renewal documentation, and coordinating renewal communication with residents.
• Meet with residents to discuss lease renewal options, answer questions via calls or emails, and provide clear information about renewal terms to support resident retention.
• Collaborate with asset managers on counteroffers and renewal negotiations to balance resident needs with company objectives.
• Draft renewal letters and related documents, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company policies.
• Assist in transitioning lease renewal processes to the Yardi software platform, including data entry, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure a smooth implementation.
• Provide professional, courteous service that enhances resident satisfaction, makes residents feel valued, and strengthens tenant relationships.

• Preferred: at least one year of experience in a legal or administrative role within a corporate environment.
• Minimum of two years of experience handling lease renewals for rent-stabilized and rent-controlled apartments.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a cooperative and collaborative work environment.
• Proficiency in Yardi.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of customers and stakeholders.
