Biostatistician – Assistant Professor, Radiology

NYU Langone Health invites applications for a Biostatistician who will work with the Radiology Research team to conduct statistical analyses of imaging data. The position focuses on study design, protocol development, statistical analysis, data interpretation, and manuscript preparation under the guidance of clinical and research leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Perform statistical analyses across a wide range of clinical and basic science research projects.
  • Collaborate with research groups on study design, protocol development, and data interpretation.
  • Prepare statistical sections of manuscripts and support submission of research publications.
  • Conduct statistical power analyses for planning research projects.
  • Advising PIs and investigators on appropriate statistical methodologies.
  • Contribute to research design, methods, and results sections for grant applications.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post‑graduate experience.
  • Proficient in at least three of R, SAS, SPSS, M‑Plus, or STATA.
  • Strong skills in descriptive analysis, data modeling, study design, and graphical presentation.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery with meticulous quality.
  • Quickly acquire relevant medical and imaging concepts and terminology.
  • Experience conducting statistical analyses for research manuscripts and publication.
  • Capability to produce statistical power analyses for research planning.
  • Prior experience advising on statistical methodology and preparing methodological content for grants.
