Overview

Position Summary:

The candidate will participate in the collection and analysis of maternal/fetal/infant physiological and behavioral data in support of research on the effects of prenatal exposures to a variety of risk factors such as premature birth, and neurodevelopmental disorders or delays.

Salary and hiring note:
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with high density EEG studies, cross sensory associative learning paradigms, and developmental assessments of children.
  • Preparation, processing, entering, and analysis of data collected.
  • Follow research protocols as outlined in standard operating procedures and the IRB protocol.
  • Report to a supervisor daily, typically via email or Slack or written QC reports and documentation.
  • Send a weekly summary report with the research project administrator, and attend and participate in weekly lab and grant meetings.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in chemistry, biology or physics or related science or equivalent in education, training and experience.
Other Requirements
  • Must successfully complete all online systems training requirements.
  • This position will require travel to CUIMC and White Plains to assist with data collection.
  • Previous experience working with children and families.
  • Knowledge of programming and processing in R, programming and utilizing REDCap, and Excel.
  • Experience conducting neurodevelopment learning paradigms.
  • Ability to set up and conduct experiments or activities according to established protocols and record data.
  • Familiarity with computerized operations and execution of automated processes.
  • Ability to work under general supervision and in team science.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
