Position:
Assistant Research Scientist – Salary Grade 14 ($53,808.00 – $64,340.00), Full‑Time, 40 hours per week.
- Design and perform in vivo experiments using mouse ischemia models (e.g., MCAO, photothrombotic, or global ischemia models).
- Design and perform in vivo experiments to assess the efficacy of immunotherapy in mouse models of neurodegenerative diseases.
- Administer drugs by intramuscular injection, intravenous injection, or intraperitoneal injection.
- Conduct neurological and behavioral assessments (e.g., rotarod, open field, Morris water maze, neurological deficit scoring).
- Perform Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and related molecular and histological analyses.
- Manage animal colonies, perform surgeries, and ensure compliance with IACUC and institutional animal care protocols.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of experiments, data, and results.
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to data interpretation, presentations, and publications.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher degree in biology or relevant field.
- 1 year of experience in relevant field or 30 Graduate Hours.
- Familiarity with RNA‑seq technology and data analysis.
- Familiarity with Nanobody and monoclonal antibody generation.
- Familiarity with integrating multi‑omics datasets (transcriptomics, proteomics, spatial data).
- Track record of research publications or technical reports.
