Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate. The Research Data Associate (RDA) will work per diem to contribute to clinical research efforts within the Schizophrenia Research Group at the Department of Psychiatry, NYU Langone Health. Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, the per diem RDA will provide support for studies focusing on the development of more effective and better-tolerated treatments for individuals with schizophrenia.
The overarching role for the per diem RDA is to provide assistance in the recruitment of research participants, clinical study visits and procedures, data entry and analyses, and other support duties in compliance with Good Clinical Practice, HIPAA, and required obligations to participants, the PI, research team, and the sponsor.
- Provides support for federally funded human subjects research investigating treatments for schizophrenia, including recruitment of research participants, management of study folders and databases, and conduct of study assessments (when applicable).
- Assists with the design and posting of social media ads to recruit specific populations for research studies.
- Conducts phone interviews to assess fit with study inclusion/exclusion criteria and provide referrals for patients who do not qualify for current research studies.
- Logs subject visits, updates and maintains subject study folders and charts in EPIC, and coordinates visit schedules (including initial screening visits).
- Performs data entry, cleaning, and analysis in compliance with data integrity and security policies.
- Observes and assists with study visits, as necessary, for ongoing studies.
- Conducts literature reviews for manuscripts, grant submissions, and ongoing research work at the program under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
To qualify you must have an Associate's degree plus one year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You should be computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree, preferably in science, public health, health education, or a related field. Statistical knowledge and experience with data management and analysis preferred. Prior experience working in a research laboratory or related clinical setting preferred. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

SalaryNYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $29.55 - $29.56 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
