Client Overview:
Our client is an established global company that supports product development for a wide range of consumer goods. They are looking to add an R&D Lab Technician to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:$20/hr - $21/hr
Position Overview:The R&D Lab Technician will support sample preparation, product testing, and documentation within a fast-paced laboratory environment. This role will involve preparing samples according to project instructions, adding materials into prepared bases, recording observations, and maintaining accurate lab records. Candidates with Chemistry coursework, hands‑on lab classes, internships, or academic lab experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities of the R&D Lab Technician:- Prepare laboratory samples by adding materials into appropriate prepared bases according to project instructions.
- Organize and label samples accurately for testing, review, and documentation.
- Evaluate prepared samples and record observations related to appearance, performance, and overall quality.
- Prepare basic lab materials and support sample set‑up as requested.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date manual and electronic lab records.
- Follow written instructions, formulas, and project details with strong attention to accuracy.
- Support additional lab areas during periods of high project volume.
- Assist with general lab organization, sample tracking, inventory support, and day‑to‑day laboratory workflow.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented lab environment.
- Strong math and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Some laboratory experience through coursework, academic research, internship, or previous work experience is preferred.
- Interest in personal care, consumer products, or creative laboratory work is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Food Science, or a related science discipline is required.
