Senior Scientist/ Scientist II, Systems Immunologist. Join our team of talented researchers in a highly collaborative startup environment at the intersection of immunology, AI, and new genomic technologies. Opportunity to work directly with a big pharma partner on projects related to cancer immunology.
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Reporting to: Systems Immunology Team Lead, Collaborations
What will you do?- Work on a collaboration with AstraZeneca to answer questions related to mechanism of action, dose selection, and biomarker identification for drugs developed in their oncology group.
- Utilize computational skills as part of the External Collaborations dry lab team (Systems Immunologists & Computational Biologists) and collaborate with the wet lab team.
- Independently contribute to project planning, including goals, activities, and timelines.
- Lead the translation of data analysis to biological insights with the goal of generating actionable recommendations to inform drug development.
- Take an active role in shaping Immunai’s bioinformatic platforms to reflect immunological insights.
- Perform literature reviews to maintain a deep understanding of project‑specific immunological concepts and stay current on immunotherapies, immunology, and single‑cell technologies.
- Clearly communicate concepts and findings to external stakeholders in the form of presentations and data reports.
- Independently advise computational teams on matters of immunology.
- Ph.D. related to immunology with a minimum of 4–6 years of related experience (postdoc or industry) - A MUST.
- Experience dealing with NGS data (especially single‑cell RNA sequencing) including coding and data analysis in R (preferred) or Python - A MUST.
- Strong analytical skills, problem‑solving ability, attention to detail, and innovation aptitude.

This position offers a base salary typically between $130,000 and $150,000. There is an opportunity to consider higher compensation above this range based on business need, candidate experience, and/or skills.
