Associate Researcher; Dr. Wu's Lab - Neurosciences

Job Description

The Associate Researcher is an entry laboratory research position, responsible for conducting routine and standardized experiments using techniques specific to the assigned research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or a senior researcher. The individual assists in the interpretation of research outcomes and may be responsible for lab and clerical support, analyzing and assisting in interpreting research outcomes.

• Under direct supervision, conduct routine and standardized experiments using appropriate research techniques specific to the subject matter of the research project.
• Analyze and assist in interpreting laboratory results.
• Perform assays to support research studies.
• Maintain laboratory environment and assist in the upkeep of appropriate inventory, which may include ordering of supplies.
• Log and test samples; prepare and submit laboratory materials and specimens for shipment.
• Assist in the collection, analysis and review of experimental data for publication and presentation.
• Perform other related duties.

• Bachelor's degree in science or related field preferred, or combination of relevant research experience and education.
• 0-2 years of research/laboratory experience.
