Job Description and Position Requirements
The College of Agricultural Sciences, Penn State Extension is seeking applicants for the part‑time job position of Field and Forage Crops Intern. This position will be based in Wayne County, with travel in Lackawanna, Pike, Susquehanna, and Wyoming Counties.
Responsibilities- Crop scouting
- Field data collection
- Research trial support
- Farm visits and client support
- Agricultural science background
- Access to a motor vehicle
- Standard background check
- Motor vehicle screening
- Part‑time, 30 hours per week for a short‑term period
- Hours flexible to applicant’s needs
The starting rate is $17.75 per hour, plus travel.
Background Checks and ClearancesEmployment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
