Quant Researcher – Build, Test & Deploy | Tech-Driven NYC Fund

Research is doing stuff that hasn’t been done - pure ability and common sense.

A small systematic hedge fund is looking for researchers to join their team. The fund primarily focuses on long/short U.S. equities and invests heavily in technology, which is the driving force behind the business. The tech team is small but powerful and highly collaborative.

You will have full ownership over your research. This is a role for someone who does not need to be told what to do - they want a top-tier researcher, hand them the keys, and let them drive. You will build, test, and deploy your own research end-to-end.

The team is highly collaborative, and if you are looking for a narrow, siloed research role, this is not the right fit. They want someone who is excited to do deep research while also being willing to contribute across other parts of the stack when needed.

To be successful, you’ll need:

• Strong engineering skills (all researchers code)
• Deep understanding of alpha generation, risk models, and transaction costs (most important)
