Research Data Associate- Per Diem

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate
- Per Diem. This role is a part‑time, hourly position supporting Dr. Omar El‑Shahawy’s lab, which focuses on e‑cigarette interventions for harm reduction in adult smokers. Responsibilities include assisting with clinical research, preparing reports, performing data cleaning and analysis, and supporting administrative tasks.

• Assist coordinators with daily participant related items
• Accompany participants to study related procedures if needed
• Support preparation for grant reporting, including collecting and preparing documents and data entry
• Schedule and confirm participant visits
• Other potential study related activities as needed

Associate’s degree plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be computer literate with strong interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a health‑related field such as psychology, epidemiology, or health science. Preference for candidates with prior experience using REDCap, familiarity with institutional review board processes, and research protocols. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), Internet applications, and data analysis programs (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS) is a plus. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively, multitask, and solve problems under pressure.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $29.56 - $29.56 hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
