Location: New York
New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing is committed to developing the next generation of nurse scientists and is seeking to fill a Postdoctoral Associate role for Summer 2026. This position is initially awarded as a one-year appointment, renewable annually based on performance. The postdoctoral associate will engage in developing and implementing methods and tools for analyzing large-scale biomedical data with complex designs, conducting big data analyses using advanced statistical models, reporting study results, publishing, presenting, grant-writing, and advancing their own research area.

Approximate Start and End Dates: Full-time, fixed-term expected to run from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, subject to continuation based on grant funding and performance.
Appointment Type: Full-time, fixed-term, grant-funded position.
Expected
Work Hours:
35 hours per week;
Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule with some flexibility.
Location: Hybrid. Requires at least three days of in-person work per week.
Annual base salary range: $62,500–$65,000, based on relevant postgraduate experience.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement efficient methods and tools for analyzing large-scale biomedical data.
- Conduct and run analysis using advanced statistical models.
- Report study results, publish findings, and present at scientific meetings.
- Engage in grant writing and coordinate with the mentor, Dr. Han Chen.
- Advance personal research area within the broader project goals.
- Curriculum vitae and cover letter.
- A research statement/proposal (maximum 1 page single spaced) detailing fit with mentor Dr. Han Chen and alignment with the position.
- Copies of up to three relevant research papers (preferably first-authored).
- Names and contact information for three references familiar with scholarly work.
- A dissertation abstract and reprints of at least three publications.
