Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Neuroepigenomics

Position Summary

Postdoctoral Research Scientist reporting to the Principal Investigator and part of the neuroepigenetics research team. The role focuses on hormonal and environmental factors driving sex differences in depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders, analyzing human and rodent brain across reproductive states and sexes using advanced epigenomics techniques and bioinformatics data analyses.

• Analyze genomics experiments including single-cell multiome ATAC‑seq/RNA‑seq, and cell‑type specific ATAC‑seq, RNA‑seq, ChIP‑seq, Hi‑C, and Micro‑C assays.
• Lead the dry lab team and manage data maintenance, submission, and communication with sequencing cores and bioinformatics teams.
• Analyze and interpret data, conduct conference presentations, and prepare manuscripts.
• Attend meetings with lab members and collaborators, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.

Not responsible for supervision or oversight of others.

• PhD in biological sciences, computational biology, bioinformatics, or related field.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently and with others.

• Expertise in molecular and computational biology and neuroscience.
• Experience in the analysis of transcriptomics and epigenomics data.

Minimum Starting Salary: $67,000.00. Maximum Starting Salary: $70,000.00. Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
