Bench Scientist II

Join a collaborative biopharmaceutical research team where you'll support the development and optimization of innovative immunoassays through hands-on laboratory work. This contract opportunity is ideal for an early-career scientist or recent Master's graduate eager to build experience with ELISA/MSD platforms, assay development, and emerging lab technologies in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

  • Support laboratory based assay development activities by performing day to day bench work.
  • Run ELISA assays as part of evolving and novel method workflows (not a QC lab role).
  • Follow experimental protocols and contribute to experiments by asking appropriate scientific questions.
  • Perform strong basic laboratory skills, including pipetting, buffer preparation, and general lab techniques and documentation.
  • Support assay development concepts such as antibody titration, optimization, and sub-saturating conditions.
  • Prepare and characterize reagents, including antibody biotinylation and HABA assay or equivalent techniques.
  • Assist with laboratory automation workflows (e.g., Hamilton, Integra, or similar systems) when applicable.
  • Use or contribute to LIMS / electronic lab notebook processes as part of experiment documentation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) as needed.
  • Hands-on experience running ELISA assays.
  • Experience with MSD platform preferred (ELISA experience acceptable if MSD is not available).
  • Strong basic laboratory skills including pipetting, buffer preparation, general lab techniques and documentation.
  • Ability to follow experimental protocols and ask appropriate scientific questions.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 2–4 years of relevant lab experience or recent Master's graduates with translatable hands-on lab experience.
  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, supportive team environment.
  • Preferred / Plus:
Experience with assay development concepts (e.g., antibody titration, optimization, sub-saturating conditions).
  • Preferred / Plus:
Experience preparing and characterizing reagents, including antibody biotinylation and HABA assay or equivalent techniques.
  • Preferred:
Familiarity with laboratory automation (e.g., Hamilton, Integra, or similar systems).
  • Preferred:
Experience using or exposure to LIMS / electronic lab notebooks.
  • Preferred:
Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Copilot).
