Overview
As a Senior Associate Scientist – Biology at Pfizer, you will be at the forefront of our mission to develop innovative therapies and vaccines. Your work will support the evaluation of vaccine safety and pre‑clinical efficacy through laboratory animal studies, contributing to breakthroughs that change patients’ lives.
Responsibilities- Assist in the development, coordination, and execution of animal models in a range of species to support pre‑clinical vaccine development.
- Organize and schedule in‑vivo studies, coordinating across functional teams and ensuring compliance with SOPs and biosafety practices.
- Carry out animal procedures required to evaluate immunogenicity and efficacy of vaccines, including tissue harvesting.
- Assist in developing assays or animal models to support various vaccine projects.
- Document all work in an electronic notebook as required.
- Support laboratory activities such as media preparation, reagent stocking, supply ordering, and sample processing.
- Demonstrate proficiency in SOPs, aseptic technique, and familiarity with BSL2/ABSL2 safety practices.
- Perform duties in compliance with cGMP/GLP and regulatory agency requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must‑Have:
Bachelor’s degree and at least 3+ years of laboratory and/or vivarium experience, or a Master’s degree with relevant experience. - Technical experience in the development and execution of animal models of infectious disease and immunological assays.
- Proficiency with personal computers and scientific software (Word, Excel, Prism, PowerPoint).
- Motivated, flexible, and eager to learn new techniques and AI tools.
Sitting, standing and walking; repetitive procedures and light lifting. Ability to analyze data, design experiments, and present scientific concepts to colleagues.
Work Schedule / Travel / Environment- Local travel and adherence to safe work practices within defined biosafety requirements.
- Flexibility to work late hours and weekends if needed.

Compensation & Benefits- Base salary range: $68,600.00 to $.
- Eligible for Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of base salary.
