Job Description
The Associate Researcher is an entry laboratory research position, responsible for conduct of routine and standardized experiments using techniques specific to the assigned research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or a senior researcher. This individual assists in the interpretation of research outcomes and may be responsible for lab and clerical support. S/he analyzes and assists in interpreting research outcomes.
Responsibilities- Conduct behavioral training and testing of non-human primates.
- Collect functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and neurophysiology data from non-human primates in collaboration with laboratory team members.
- Analyze behavioral, neurophysiology, and fMRI data using appropriate research methods and software.
- Collaborate with students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty to interpret findings, prepare manuscripts, and publish scientific research.
- Maintain accurate research records and ensure compliance with laboratory protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate laboratory administrative activities, including ordering research supplies and maintaining inventory.
- Perform laboratory safety responsibilities and assist with ensuring compliance with institutional safety policies and procedures.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the laboratory and veterinary technicians to coordinate animal care and research activities.
- Support additional laboratory operations and research-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in science or related field preferred, or combination of relevant research experience and education
- 0-2 years of research/laboratory experience
