Overview
Reporting to the Principal Investigator of the NIH grant for the Youth Development, Diversity, and Disparities (3D) Lab at Fordham University, the Lab Coordinator manages a longitudinal study on economic and educational experiences and cardiovascular health during the transition to adulthood.
This is a 1‑year position, extendable, with responsibility for supervising student research assistants and conducting community outreach.
Essential Functions- Day‑to‑day management of the 3E Study, a new NIH‑funded grant.
- Manage grant administration, writing, submissions, and reporting.
- Oversee data collection, management, and research instruments.
- Coordinate recruitment, schedule study visits, and communicate with participants and administrators.
- Process participant payments, maintain lab equipment inventory, and assist with IRB survey management.
- Conduct weekly lab meetings.
- Assist with lab/study websites and social media dissemination.
- Participate in Youth Participatory Action Research projects with community partners.
- Participate in data analysis, writing, presenting, and submitting research reports to conferences and journals.
- Provide peer‑level coordination and guidance to colleagues and student workers.
- Organize tasks, clarify priorities, review work quality.
- B.A. or B.S. in psychology, education, public health, or a relevant social science.
- Minimum of 2 years of research experience in a team‑based setting, with proficiency in research and statistical software and survey platforms.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage research projects effectively, efficiently, and in an organized manner.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks and deadlines.
- Proven operational timeline management.
- Experience providing guidance, technical training, and workflow oversight to research assistants or student workers.
- Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team‑based lab environment experience.
- Ability to work independently with judgment and initiative.
- Functional proficiency with data tracking systems, research software, Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
- History of conference presentations and/or peer‑reviewed publications.
Minimum $30,000;
Maximum $32,500, commensurate with experience.
