Role

Purpose:

We are seeking an R&D Fiber Technician to support flame hydrolysis (OVD) and fiber research projects in a dynamic laboratory environment. In this role, you will partner with scientists to support process development, build and maintain lab-scale tools, conduct experiments, analyze data, and help solve technical challenges related to fiber processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support scientists in solving fiber research and process challenges
  • Conduct hands-on laboratory experiments and proof-of-concept testing
  • Help improve existing processes and evaluate new process capabilities
  • Collect, document, and analyze process data using statistical methods
  • Maintain laboratory spaces, process equipment, and materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify issues and support solutions
  • Communicate project updates and findings to the team
  • Document work clearly and contribute to intellectual property efforts as appropriate

Experiences/Education

- Required:

  • Associate degree (2-year degree) in a technical field required
  • Experience working in a laboratory or experimental environment
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced research setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and graphing
  • Comfort working with a variety of lab equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly

This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $58,411.00 - $80,316.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
