Overview
The Torres-Vázquez Lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team investigating the mechanisms that regulate vascular development, function, and disease using zebrafish as a model system. The successful candidate will join a dynamic research environment and contribute to innovative projects at the interface of developmental biology, genetics, and disease modeling. The position is available immediately.
Qualifications- A PhD in developmental biology, cardiovascular biology, genetics, cell biology, or a related field.
- A strong publication record or clear evidence of research productivity.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: zebrafish biology, molecular biology, genetics, signaling, mechanobiology, cardiovascular biology, developmental biology, gene expression analyses, quantitative imaging.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Evidence of experimental creativity.
- Zebrafish husbandry and experimental techniques.
- Confocal microscopy or live imaging.
- Genome editing and transgenic approaches.
- Gene expression analyses.
- Biochemistry.
- Disease modeling and functional assays.
