What are the whole body causes and consequences of cancer and how can we target them to improve cancer therapy?
The Janowitz Laboratory at CSHL is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and interactive post-doctoral fellow with strong experimental and analytical skills to contribute to research on the connectivity of the host response to cancer. We employ pre-clinical and clinical research to develop and test new treatment strategies and to discover fundamental biological interactions between tumors and host organ systems, including the brain.
We are looking for candidates interested in developing their own research question in alignment with the interests and skills present in the laboratory and institution.
The selected candidate will be provided significant resources, including access to state-of-the-art laboratory space and the opportunity to discuss science in a relaxed and diverse atmosphere defined by constructive critical appraisal. Opportunities to learn about model systems of disease, advanced microscopy, genetic engineering, new sequencing techniques, translational science, and statistical analyses will be provided.
Applications should explain the specific motivation of the candidate to apply for this postdoctoral post and, to be considered, candidates must also apply for this position via the CSHL website. For more information about CSHL, please visit us l.edu.
