About the Role:We’re looking for a sharp, ambitious writer with a PhD or Master’s in Gerontology, Public Health, Sociology, or Health Economics to help us build the most credible and data-driven content hub in the industry.
You’ll write original, research-backed think pieces and policy-driven stories about aging in America — the kind that get shared by journalists, referenced by universities, and cited across the country.
This role is perfect for someone early in their career , academically trained but eager to create impactful, public-facing work instead of staying in academia.
Responsibilities:- Research and write high-impact articles on aging, senior living, and the economics of care
- Translate academic or policy research into stories the public and media can understand
- Collaborate with editors and researchers across all 50 states
- Identify emerging trends in senior care, health policy, and demographic data
- Help build ’s reputation as an expert resource for aging-related content
- Work closely with leadership on data projects that drive media coverage and backlinks
- PhD or Master’s in Gerontology, Public Health, Sociology, Economics, or a related field
- Exceptional writing and research ability
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- A curious, entrepreneurial mindset — able to turn complex information into compelling insights
- Passion for aging, healthcare, or social policy topics
- U.S.
-based with familiarity with the American healthcare or senior living landscape
