Work Shift Compensation Range The base pay scale for this position is $23.90 - $36.54. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation.

What you will be doing

Requirements of this position include a Bachelors degree (BS or BA) in engineering, rehabilitation, biology, physical therapy, kinesiology, anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, or a related discipline; interest and basic experience in the motion analysis process; and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate would have experience in human movement analysis but new graduates will be considered. Prior clinical experience would be a plus.

The Research Assistant I position includes collection and analysis of 3D and 2D motion capture, ground reaction force, electromyographic, and plantar pressure data on patients to serve as the basis for their clinical treatment planning.

This Research Assistant I is a one-year full-time position which may be extended based upon both positive performance review and programmatic need. Benefits are included.

The position responsibilities are primarily but not limited to:a) Perform data collection and processing for individuals undergoing clinical movement analysis or research protocols.b) Preparation and calibration of instrumentation for data collection and maintenance of laboratory space and equipmentc) Manage research subject recruitment and related documentation. This includes: contacting and screening subjects, test scheduling, providing informed consent, and updating and maintaining research study documents.d)

Assist with the preparation and submission of grants.e) Communication with physicians, scientists, physical therapists, biomechanists, and administrative staff.

The person is expected to work closely with LRMALab and HSS staff to creatively streamline study workflows and increase efficiency by identifying roadblocks, brainstorming alternative strategies, and scheduling meetings to appraise study progress.
