Position Summary

The Technician B will support laboratory research activities related to gastric cancer by performing established laboratory procedures and technical activities under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and senior research staff. The Technician B will carry out planned laboratory procedures according to established protocols, process biological specimens, collect and record research data, maintain laboratory records, and support the day-to-day operation of the laboratory.

The position requires the application of standard laboratory techniques, accurate documentation of laboratory activities, and adherence to established safety and research procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and maintain cell cultures using established cancer cell lines and organoid models in accordance with laboratory protocols.
  • Perform routine molecular biology procedures according to established laboratory protocols, including cloning, RNA/DNA extraction, PCR, Western blotting, and flow cytometry, under the supervision of PI or research assistant.
  • Assist with established animal research procedures, including drug administration, tumor monitoring, specimen collection, and tissue processing.
  • Process and prepare mouse and human tissue specimens for laboratory analyses using established laboratory methods and procedures.
  • Collect, organize, record, and maintain experimental data in accordance with established laboratory procedures and research protocols.
  • Maintain laboratory notebooks, sample inventories, and documentation of laboratory procedures and results.
  • Provide updates regarding assigned laboratory procedures, data collection activities, and project-related tasks to supervisory research personnel.
  • Assist with organizing research records, data tables, and supporting materials for laboratory meetings and reports.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for laboratory reports, presentations, and other project-related materials as assigned.
  • Maintain laboratory supplies, stock materials, assist with routine equipment maintenance, and perform related duties necessary for efficient laboratory operations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures, scientific methods, and laboratory safety practices.
  • Ability to perform laboratory work in a neat, organized, and accurate manner.
  • Ability to maintain records and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with tissue culture and standard molecular biology techniques.
  • Experience working with laboratory animals in a research setting.
  • Ability to learn and apply new laboratory techniques with general instruction.
  • Experience maintaining laboratory records and organizing research data.
  • Familiarity with computerized laboratory operations and data management systems.
