Overview Working with Dr. Zhongzheng (Jason) Niu
, EEH Assistant Professor, the postdoctoral associate will conduct research projects on cardiometabolic health through a life course perspective. Projects may include examining environmental risk factors (e.g., air pollution, heat waves, endocrine disrupting chemicals) on biological aging (telomere length, epigenetic clocks) and multi‑omics integration (epigenome, mitochondrial functions, metabolomics). The associate will receive training in advanced statistical approaches, high‑impact journal publishing, grant writing, and career development.

Responsibilities include managing and analyzing existing data, collaborating with a functional team, writing manuscripts, and presenting research results at scientific conferences. Depending on interest, the candidate may also participate in an ongoing clinical trial of postpartum hypertension and depression.

Requirements
  • Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DDS, PharmD, etc.) in a public health discipline or related field
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without visa sponsorship
  • Advanced expertise in statistical programming languages such as SAS, Stata, and/or R
  • Self‑motivated, creative, productive, and organized
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in a quantitative public health field (e.g., health services, epidemiology or biostatistics)
  • Social science background with strong quantitative skills and interest in health‑related research
