Meta is hiring a UX Researcher, Quantitative for a full-time role based in New York, NY
. The position sits within Meta's central UX Research team, where researchers tackle complex challenges to understand how billions of people interact with each other and the world around them. This role calls for a senior professional who can design and execute end-to-end custom primary research, apply advanced statistical methods, and translate findings into strategic narratives that shape product decisions across Meta's ecosystem.
Meta's UX Research team designs for the broad spectrum of human needs. The team draws on a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods—including surveys, focus groups, field studies, usability tests, and 1:1 interviews to contribute ideas that elevate products on a global scale. Researchers work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering, and marketing to generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs.
In this capacity, you will act as a thought leader in the research domain while advocating for the people who use Meta's products. Your ability to design studies that address both user behavior and attitudes will be critical to your success.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with product and business teams to identify high-impact research topics.
- Design and execute end-to-end custom primary research using a wide variety of methods.
- Manage and prioritize research plans through ambiguous, fast-changing environments while aligning a large group of stakeholders.
- Communicate results and recommendations through clear presentations, reports, and data visualizations tailored to diverse audiences.
- Work independently and autonomously to generate insights that drive product decisions.
- Bachelor's degree with 13+ years of relevant experience in user experience, applied research, or product research and development—or a Master's degree with 11+ years, or a PhD with 8+ years.
- Experience coding with R or Python.
- Experience with survey design and response effects.
- Experience applying statistical analysis methods such as Regressions, ANOVA, and T-Tests.
- Interest in and experience executing hands-on, primary research.
- Experience translating research findings into strategic narratives.
- Degrees in a human behavior related field, such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and drive measurable impact.
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices, including risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality reviews.
- Ongoing AI skill development, such as prompt or context engineering and agent orchestration.
- Experience with consumer products, consumer insights, or product development.
This position offers a verified base salary ranging from USD 164,000 to 227,000 per year
. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
