**** The job involves:
*** Preparing and presenting all food items using traditional Asian cooking techniques, ensuring strict adherence to health codes and established restaurant standards
* Following established recipes and demonstrating a high degree of accuracy in food service and production
* Proper and safe food handling and sanitation procedures in a timely manner in a fast-paced high-volume environment
* Responsible for assisting the Sous Chefs with food preparation and organization
* Receiving customer orders and passing uncooked product to the Chef for cooking
* Responsible for preparation of high-end dishes as well as preparing and cooking standard menu items
* Preparing food in the capacity of a Wok Cook or Chop Board Cook
* Prepare and cook dishes in a wok using high heat (stir-fries, fried rice, noodles, sauces and specialty items)
* Prepare multiple orders quickly during peak service without sacrificing quality
* Preparing and chopping food, such as beef, chicken, shrimp, and scallops
* Ordering inventory and monitoring inventory items for freshness, quality, and quantity
* Maintaining workstation in a clean and safe manner
* Exceptional communication skills, Demonstrates respect, regard and consideration for others
* Works as part of a team for the success of the business. Exhibits attention to detail and accuracy in performing duties
* Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation, working weekends and holidays
* Any other duties as assigned
** The ideal candidate has:
*** High school diploma or equivalent
* Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin (written and verbal);
English (Conversational)
* Minimum 7 years’ experience in an Asian kitchen or fast-paced Asian Restaurant
* Food Safe Handling Certificate
* Strong knife handling skills
* The ability to do basic math and has strong organizational and multitasking skills
* Remarkable guest service skills, Innovation, creativity and attention to detail
* Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time, some lifting
