SC Food Runner

Overview

Food Runners are primarily responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to the guests' table quickly and accurately. You will assist in maintaining a clean environment for the guests in the hotel restaurant by clearing, sanitizing, and resetting tables. You will be the point of contact between our front of house and back of house staff.

• Must have the ability to grasp, lift, carry, and move large bus trays of food, plates, utensils, and glasses weighing a maximum of 20 lbs. on continuous schedule.
• Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.

• Pick up and deliver food orders to guests.
• Communicate food orders to kitchen staff, paying attention to special requests and priorities.
• Clear used glasses, dishes, and silverware from the dining room tables, bar top, and lounge area, and transport them to the dishwashing area.
• Set up and clean down tables between customers, including, but not limited to, folding napkins, cleaning and placing tableware, serving water, etc.
• Monitor the floor spaces for needed sweeping, reconfiguring of furniture, spills, etc.
• Assist food servers in delivering food and drinks to guest tables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Proven work experience, hotel level food serving preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
