Runner, Restaurant​/Food Service

Job Summary

Delivers food to restaurant/dining room patrons in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.

• Location:
  
  Brooklyn Botanic Garden – 990 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11225 (online applications only)
• Schedule:
  
  Full and part‑time; weekends, weekdays, mornings, evenings, and holidays. Details upon interview.
• Pay Range: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
• Requirement:
  Restaurant experience required; fine dining experience preferred. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Delivers food to restaurant/dining room patrons/customers.
• Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
• Interacts with customers to assure satisfaction.
• Interacts with co‑workers to assure compliance with company service standards.
• Completes side work as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Abides by all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to: use of medium‑weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer; use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans; use of slip‑resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
