Job Summary
We are hiring full‑time and part‑time baristas at Army Fort Drum, New York. This role supports operations at a federal defense facility and is available for online applications only.
ScheduleFull‑time and part‑time schedules are available. The café operates 7 days a week from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm, with multiple shift options for early morning and late closing shifts.
PayFixed rate: $18.75 per hour plus a $5.09 per hour Health & Welfare rate.
Responsibilities- Prepare and serve a full range of coffee and smoothie/beverage offerings in accordance with recipes and brand standards.
- Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering, using standard measures and recipes.
- Enter orders accurately into a POS device; accept cash and charge payments.
- Replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of the service area.
- Ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
- Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils.
- Greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner that ensures customer satisfaction.
- Serve customers quickly and efficiently; prevent delays in serving lines.
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to customers.
- Advocate selling techniques to encourage positive purchase decisions.
- Ensure all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous barista experience required; smoothie experience preferred.
- Ability to work flexible full‑time or part‑time shifts across a 7‑day schedule.
- U.S. citizenship required; must be able to verify citizenship at the time of hire.
- Knowledge of HACCP guidelines and ability to follow safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
- Effective communication skills and a friendly, courteous demeanor toward customers and teammates.
