Café Associate
Provide efficient, friendly service in a fast‑casual environment. Process transactions through the point‑of‑sale system, prepare and serve food and beverages, execute and deliver catering orders, stock inventory, maintain cleanliness, and support daily café operations.
Key Responsibilities- Follow opening procedures to ensure all café areas are clean, organized, stocked, secure, and ready for service.
- Deliver exceptional guest service by greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner, anticipating needs, and promoting products to enhance the experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge of menu offerings, including ingredients, allergy information, and dietary considerations.
- Accurately process orders and payments through the point‑of‑sale system.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with established quality, portion, presentation, and temperature standards.
- Maintain fully stocked, clean, and organized food displays, beverage coolers, condiment stations, retail displays, and service areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café, including seating areas, counters, storage areas, equipment, and floors, in accordance with health, safety, and food safety standards.
- Assist with café events, demonstrations, presentations, and promotional activities as assigned.
- Assist with inventory counts, product replenishment, and stock rotation as needed.
- Attend and participate in required meetings and training sessions.
- Follow closing procedures to ensure all café areas are clean, secure, restocked, and prepared for the next day’s service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Prior experience working in café‑/concession‑style establishment.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Maintain a professional, polished appearance and high standards of personal hygiene in accordance with company grooming and dress code policies, including guidelines related to visible tattoos, facial and body piercings (limited to one per ear), and non‑natural hair colors.
- Basic knowledge of food preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
- Willingness and drive to exceed guest expectations.
- Ability to read, speak and write in English and communicate with management and guests.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to work extended hours and flexible shifts including mornings, nights and holidays, and weekends.
- Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting during setup and service.
- Sufficient mobility to be able to bend, squat, and reach.
- Ability to transport up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis.
- Ability to be on feet for extended hours.
- Must have a working email to communicate with managers and a working telephone number (always kept up to date).
- Ability to consistently practice safe work habits.
- Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations and complete company‑wide safety training as well as additional job specific training.
