Dietary Aide

Facility: The Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing
Location: Southampton, NY
Position: Dietary Aide 6 am - 2 pm and 12 pm - 8 pm
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $21.38 per hour

The Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing is seeking a reliable and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our food service team. The Dietary Aide plays an important role in ensuring our residents receive safe, nutritious, and well-prepared meals in a clean and welcoming environment.

• Deliver food carts and meal trays to resident dining areas and units.

• Assist with meal and tray service while ensuring residents receive the correct meals and portions.

• Work on the tray line, preparing and assembling resident meal trays according to established menus and portion requirements.

• Follow proper food handling, serving, and sanitation procedures.

• Assist with dishwashing, pot washing, and kitchen cleaning.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dietary department, kitchen, and equipment.

• Assist with daily kitchen and food service duties as assigned.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and facility policies.

• Work cooperatively with dietary staff, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure timely meal service.

• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents and staff.

• Previous food service, dietary, kitchen, restaurant, or healthcare experience preferred.

• Knowledge of proper food handling and serving methods.

• Knowledge of food sanitation and safety practices.

• Ability to follow menus, portion guidelines, and dietary instructions.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

• Must demonstrate a professional, respectful, and compassionate approach when interacting with residents.

• Long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare dietary experience is a plus.
