Position Summary

The Waitstaff at Swain Resort provides outstanding guest service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring each guest has an enjoyable dining experience. This position plays a key role in representing the resort’s friendly and welcoming atmosphere in all Food & Beverage outlets.

• Greet and seat guests promptly in a warm, friendly manner.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the resort’s POS system.
• Deliver orders promptly, ensuring correct presentation and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, tables, and workstations.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
• Handle payments accurately and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address any needs or concerns promptly.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side-work duties as assigned.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with banquets, special events, and busy weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous serving or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented, positive, and professional attitude.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
