Join Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury, a one-of-a-kind state-of-the-art Skilled Nursing Facility in Lake Katrine, New York, as a Full-time Cook. Our facility is designed to promote re-acquisition of cognitive, physical, and social skills in a naturalistic setting. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our team and contribute to our mission of REBUILDING BODY, MIND & SPIRIT.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus

• Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance

• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures

• Prepare food for therapeutic diets in accordance with planned menus

• Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders

• Be sure that appropriate equipment and utensils are provided with the resident's meal tray

• Review care plans to assure that current dietary information is consistent with foods served

• Prepare and serve substitute foods to residents who refuse foods served

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required

• Prior industrial/commercial kitchen/cook experience

• Able to read, write, and understand English

• Dependable, adaptable to change, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Accurate and organized

• Full-Time 37.5 hours/week (including alternate Saturdays and Sundays)

• Able to work overtime or flexible shifts when needed
