Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesDetail-oriented and proactive Pricing & Vendor Supply Specialist ensures accurate vendor prices in our ERP system (BRData), manages invoice reconciliation, and supports delivery/shipping compliance. This role is also responsible for preparing retail selling price proposals for Category Manager approval, maintaining accurate product data, and supporting merchandising operations when needed.
Key Responsibilities- Vendor Price Control & Invoice Accuracy
- Request and maintain updated vendor price lists and product data on a regular basis.
- Verify and reconcile:
- Vendor prices (unit and case)
- TPR Prices
- Case pack quantities
- Item codes, product names, and sizes
- Discounts, taxes
- Ensure invoice amounts match the vendor prices in the system for correct automated payments.
- Maintain logs and schedules of all vendor price updates and changes.
- Pricing & Reporting
- Calculate preliminary retail selling prices based on company margin policies.
- Submit proposed prices for Category Manager approval.
- Implement approved price changes in BRData.
- Provide reports on vendor price updates, retail price impacts, and margin implications.
- Vendor Supply & Compliance
- Monitor vendor compliance with agreed delivery schedules and shipping standards.
- Identify delivery discrepancies and coordinate resolution with vendors.
- Cross-Department & Vendor Cooperation
- Work directly with vendors to clarify discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure up-to-date product data.
- Collaborate with Category Managers on price approvals and assortment planning.
- Support Accounting in ensuring invoice accuracy and payment processing.
- Communicate regularly with the Merchandising Director on price and compliance updates.
- Merchandising Support
- Assist in-store as needed with shelf resets, planogram compliance, and product placement.
- Lift up to 50 lbs during merchandising tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with vendor price and product data.
- Proficiency in Excel; ERP system experience (BRData preferred).
- Ability to calculate margins and prepare selling price proposals.
- Strong communication skills for vendor and internal team coordination.
- Knowledge of retail delivery/shipping compliance standards.
- Flexibility to work a floating schedule, including early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends as needed to meet store demands.
- Availability to travel for new store openings and store visits.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for in-store support.
