Key Responsibilities- Lead strategic media relations efforts across B2B retail sectors and tech, AI, fintech, finance, commerce, and B2B retail sectors
- Pitch and secure coverage with top-tier outlets. Some examples are below
- Top-tier business media (e.g., CNBC, Wall Street Journal, NYT, Associated Press)
- Retail publications (Business of Fashion, Modern Retail, etc.)
- Tech outlets (Tech Crunch, Venture Beat, The Verge)
- Marketing and ad trades (Ad Age, Adweek)
- Payments and commerce publications
- Develop earned media and thought‑leadership strategies that address innovation, digital transformation, and evolving consumer behavior
- Translate complex retail and technology concepts into clear, compelling narratives for business, trade, and top‑tier media
- Mentor and support junior team members including a direct report
- Contribute creative ideas and insights across the agency
- Work independently and confidently in a fast‑moving environment
- 5+ years of public relations experience (agency or in‑house) (must have B2B)
- Strong media relationships across business, tech, finance, retail, and/or commerce press
- Proven track record in proactive pitching and consistent earned media results
- Experience supporting retail, commerce, or technology‑driven brands in a B2B environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset; able to manage work independently without hand‑holding
- Excellent writing, communication, and storytelling skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline‑driven environment
