Location: New York, NY 10012 (in-person)

Pay: $28.00 per hour

Schedule: 10-hour daytime shifts, 4 days per week

We are seeking a professional, alert, and customer-focused Security Officer to support a luxury retail location in Lower Manhattan. This is a highly visible post requiring a strong presence, excellent judgment, and the ability to balance proactive security awareness with a polished, service-oriented guest experience. This role is primarily stationed at the exterior entrance of the store, greeting guests, monitoring foot traffic, and maintaining a calm, controlled environment throughout the day.

The ideal candidate is comfortable standing for extended periods, working outdoors, and interacting with the public in a refined, professional manner.

• Maintain a professional, welcoming, and authoritative presence while greeting guests, supporting an orderly and upscale entry experience, and monitoring entry and exit activity along with surrounding street conditions
• Manage crowd flow during busy periods and special retail activations, while observing guest behavior to identify and discreetly address suspicious or disruptive activity using calm, respectful communication and appropriate de-escalation techniques
• Communicate clearly and effectively with store leadership regarding incidents, concerns, or operational needs, while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding clientele, staff, and internal operations
• Uphold appearance, grooming, uniform, and conduct standards consistent with a luxury retail environment at all times

• Valid New York State Security Guard License (required)
• Prior experience in law enforcement, military, corrections, or security strongly preferred, with additional experience in luxury retail, door security, or other high-visibility posts considered a plus
• Strong situational awareness, sound decision-making skills, and a professional, customer-service-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication skills, reliability, and consistent punctuality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work primarily outdoors

This position requires extended standing and outdoor post coverage throughout the shift. The role is performed in person at a luxury retail location on Bowery in Lower Manhattan. Consistent availability for the scheduled daytime shifts is required.
