Procurement Coordinator – K-Beauty Division
H ART is the dedicated K-Beauty brand launched by H Mart Manhattan, offering a curated selection of premium Korean beauty brands. We are rapidly expanding across Manhattan through both physical stores and online channels, focusing on delivering trend-driven, innovative beauty experiences.
As part of a fast-growing team, you will work exclusively on H ART’s business operations—including brand sourcing, vendor management, product development, and special projects that directly shape the future of our beauty business.

1. Develop Into a Beauty/Cosmetic Buyer
- Select Korean beauty brands and vendors directly, and negotiate pricing, quantities, and product terms.
- Influence product buying decisions using market insights and performance data.
- Participate in planning and executing promotional projects—such as H ART’s curated Beauty Box.
- Conduct data-driven product selection
- Collaborate with the design team to develop packaging concepts
- Coordinate end-to-end project execution
- Contribute ideas to launch and develop an H ART brand-exclusive beauty product.
- Perform market research to propose new brands and products for introduction.
- Attend B2B beauty trade shows, vendor events, and industry expos as a buyer, representing H ART.
- Your product selection, vendor partnerships, and project proposals directly impact store performance, customer experience, and brand expansion.
- Identify and outreach to Korean beauty vendors; evaluate product offerings and negotiate terms.
- Propose new beauty trends, potential brands, and product opportunities based on market research.
- Analyze competitive pricing, ingredient trends, and customer insights.
- Manage the full purchasing cycle: product listing, vendor communication, purchase orders, and follow-up.
- Track order status and ensure timely delivery; follow up on missing, incorrect, or damaged shipments.
- Maintain accurate internal databases, including invoices, contracts, order histories, and pricing.
- Monitor inventory levels and support inventory analysis, including turnover ratio review.
- Strong interest in K-Beauty trends, products, and brands.
- Fluent in both Korean and English is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, merchandising, or supply chain is preferred, but not required (Beauty or retail industry preferred)
- Ability to negotiate with vendors and manage multiple projects at once
- An analytical mindset with comfort using data to support decisions
- Proactive communicator with good cross-functional collaboration skills
- Candidates with a valid visa who can work legally in the U.S.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in New York, with a standard Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Although this role is based in a general office setting, this role will regularly visit physical stores across Manhattan to conduct product checks, review merchandising, assess inventory levels, and stay connected to real-time customer trends.
CompensationThe starting pay rate for this position is $22–$26/hr, depending on experience, skill level, and other job-related factors.
