Insomnia Cookies is actively hiring for a full-time hourly Store Manager in Training (MIT) at our newly opening Fresh Meadows, NY location. We are seeking hospitality-focused individuals looking to join our industry-leading, rapidly growing, and nationally recognized company!
Our sweet MIT perks & compensation:
- Pay rate: $20.00 - $23.00/hr

What will I do as a MIT with Insomnia Cookies?
- Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when the Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present.
- Supervise, train, and coach 2-5 team members engaged in cookie sales and customer deliveries.
- Lead onboarding and initial training for new hourly staff.
- Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders, and Delivery Drivers) in the manager's absence.
- Support the Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling.
- Ensure staff adhere to Insomnia Cookies' standards (baking, uniforms, policies, etc.).
- Upsell and provide excellent customer service, ensuring all team members do the same.
Desired skills/experience:
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting
- Experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly staff
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Proficiency in MS Office, Word, and our Applicant Tracking System
- Ability to work a 4-5 day week, including 1-2 mid-to-late shifts (Thurs-Sun)
- Must be 18 or older and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Compensation: $20 - $23 an hour
